Athena Motavvef was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Athena earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from the University of California, Riverside. After working in Los Angeles for several years, she moved to the East Coast to pursue a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University. She currently works at Earthjustice, a nonprofit law organization, as a Legislative Assistant based out of the Policy and Legislation office in Washington, D.C. Athena joined Shabeh Jomeh shortly after moving to Washington, D.C. to meet folks in the Iranian-American community.

Nazaneen Hayat

Nazaneen is a native of Philadelphia, Pa. and is a graduate of Temple University where she received her degree in Management Information Systems. Upon completion of her degree, she decided to work in her field before pursuing graduate school. Her job search landed her in Washington, DC working at a management consulting firm doing GovCon. Her close connection to her Persian roots and previously held positions within other Persian non-profits, led her to join Shabeh Jomeh as a director, and has being leading, creating, and hosting events ever since. She has worked diligently to maintain a network of Iranian-American networking events that mirror the professional environment of Washington DC. The DC Metro team has planned and organized events with themes such as social, cultural, and charitable, for the tri-state area in hopes of promoting a new generation of Persian-American cooperation and awareness. When she arrived in the DC area, she attended a Shabeh Jomeh event and saw it as the next place to continue supporting the growth of the Iranian American community. She joined the Shabeh Jomeh team in 2007.

Mansoor Eyvazi

Mansoor Eyvazi was born and raised in Iran, Tehran. Upon completion of his bachelor's in law and master's in International Law, he started practicing as a lawyer where he represented numerous individuals and companies in a wide range of cases. Pursuing his career goals, he moved to DC area and received his LL.M. and his specialization in International Business Law, from American University Washington College of Law.

Currently, he works at an international client based law firm in Georgetown, Washington DC. In the past few years, he has been an active member and director of several social and non-profit organizations. In hope of better days for Iran and Iranians, he has dedicated his efforts to develop a productive and professional networking among Iranian professionals and tries to reinforce friendship and unity among the Iranian American community.
