Spring and Nowruz are in the air, and on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, Shabeh Jomeh Bay Area partnered with local Iranian American businesses and other sponsors to co-host the biggest 4Shanbeh Soori Festival in the area.
We had a wonderful evening of live music, dance performances, fire jumping, food, family, fun and more! Under the leadership of Dadmehr Davari, a local DJ and active member of the Iranian American community, this group of Iranian American local sponsors came together to build a memorable night, with over 1000 people in attendance.
Shabeh Jomeh Bay Area's Roya Soleimani was the MC for the program and showcased the work of Niosha Dance Academy and Soroosh Melli and his band.
Local broadcast station, KTVU joined our festivities, and produced a wonderful clip that covered not only our collaborative event, but also the symbolism and importance of Nowruz for Iranians in the Diaspora.
