Shabeh Jomeh proudly celebrated five years of networking with amazing support from the community. Almost 600 members came together to make the night a tremendous success. The event also marked the final event for Hani Orangi as the Founder and Leader of the Bay Area Chapter. Hani will be taking a new role as the Executive Director of Shabeh Jomeh.
A big and sincere thank you to Amir Golshan for volunteering his time to capture the night; the pictures look fantastic!
A MESSAGE FROM HANI ORANGI Five years ago the San Jose Chapter was born. This soon expanded to the Bay Area Chapter due to high demands from the community. Since 2008 Shabeh Jomeh Bay Area has flourished and hosted/participated/sponsored over 70 events all over Bay Area.
I am proud to be a part of an organization that has connected so many people within our Iranian community as well as our local communities. We have improved Iranians’ relations with one another and given back to the community by coming together.
With pride in our achievements as an organization, I want to thank you all for helping make Shabeh Jomeh the success that it is. I hope you continue to support the Bay Area Chapter and the new Leaders; they have exciting plans to expand the chapter. I will not be far and will continue to see you at the local events.
I leave you all with this thought that Neda Nabavi - the previous Executive Director - shared with her chapter:
“The currency of real networking is not greed but generosity.” (Keith Ferrazzi) Remember that greed and generosity are not always about money, its time and energy. As you connect and help others whether it is through mentoring, making introductions, or being a sounding board, you will learn something about yourself that will, hopefully, help you develop as a professional.
Enjoy the pictures from the Last Red & Black Ball. I thank you for your continuous support and wish each of you the utmost success in your professional pursuits!
Best regards, Hani Orangi Executive Director
