Shabeh Jomeh Chicago at Cook County Treasurer's Office

Almost 90 Christmas trees and displays reflecting Chicagoland's ethnic diversity are being shown during holiday season in the office of Cook County Treasurer Maria Pappas.

"Holiday Trees from Around the World," an annual tradition in Pappas’ office, can be seen by the public in Room 112 of the Cook County Building, 118 N. Clark St., Chicago and was displayed through January 3, 2014.

This year, three-foot-high Christmas tree was decorated by “Shabeh Jomeh” Chicago Chapter Leaders to reflect Iranian culture and traditions. The ornaments were designed by different Iranian symbols such as “Persian Cat”, “Persian Rug”, “Persian Turquoise”, or “Persian Miniatures”. The ornaments and tinsel matched the Iran’ flag’s colors using red, green, and silver. This Iran’s Christmas tree was chosen as one of the best decorated trees among other countries!

The Shabeh Jomeh Organization is very proud of this award give to the Chicago Leadership Team!
